Our First Grade sight words and First Grade spelling words are broken down into a scope and sequence across 36 weeks to take you from the first day of school, through the whole school year.

The curriculum progresses as follows:

  1. Weeks 1-3: CVC words

  3. Weeks 7-9: Word blends
  4. Weeks 10-12: Open syllable words
