We are committed to protecting your, and especially your students', privacy. We do not require you to enter an email address or even a full first or last name for your students. So, you can stay compliant with country, state, local, and district privacy laws and rules. We are fully compliant with FERPA, COPPA, PPRA, ISSRA, SOPPA, IPA, and PIPA. The School Plan is a license for unlimited use of Spelling Test Buddy by teachers and students in a school or district. It includes all features of the individual license, plus additional features for managing multiple teachers and students.

We can handle this for you. Simply send us a list of teachers and their students, and we'll create accounts and handle the rest. The list can be in Excel, CSV, Google Sheest, or even just a series of emails with this information. If you prefer, you can use this template as a starting point.
Yes. Teachers can create word lists, groups, students, and assignments, while awaiting final payment confirmation. Everything stays intact once the license is active.
If we discover that a teacher has already started to create any of the above, we will not overwrite their existing data.
Not yet. However, we do support Google Sign-In, so teachers can use their Google account to sign in to Spelling Test Buddy with a single click.
You can upload Word documents directly—even with bullet points. If you’re unsure, you can send us a sample and we’ll test it for you.
Yes. You can upload multiple documents into one word list, or upload each document into its own list. It’s flexible to suit your workflow.
Not yet directly via the interface, but we're planning to add that. For now, we can manually copy word lists from one teacher to another. Simply send us:
Yes. Just enable "Practice Mode" when creating or editing the assignment. Students can then repeat the test as many times as they need.
Yes. You control the "Test End Time" on each assignment. Extend it to any future date and the link will remain live for students to revise.
