What is an Education Savings Account (ESA)?
Education savings accounts (ESAs) in K-12 education let parents pay for educational expenses through a publicly funded, government-authorized savings account that's limited to educational expenses. Parents may use the funds to pay for expenses from approved vendors, including: tuition, tutoring, online education programs, and more.
ESAs are approved and released state-by-state. ESAs are available in some states, with more states expected to adopt them in the future.

Most ESA families purchase the Teacher Edition of Spelling Test Buddy. When you first sign up, choose Teacher Edition. If you need to make a switch to the Teacher Edition, please contact us at support@spellingtestbuddy.com and we will be happy to help you.
How do I purchase Spelling Test Buddy with an ESA?
Arizona
While we are working on getting integrated with ClassWallet, the State of Arizona's payment provider, their instructions state that you can use the manual approach:
- From within Spelling Test Buddy, click on the "Upgrade" button to be taken to the Stripe payment page
- Capture a screen grab and upload it to ClassWallet
- ClassWallet will review the screen grab and initiate an ACH payment to Spelling Test Buddy
- Once that payment is processed, you will receive a confirmation email that your purchase is complete and you have access to the full Teacher plan.
Utah
You can purchase Spelling Test Buddy through the Utah UFA Marketplace portal. Once you have completed the purchase, we will receive a notification and will reach out to you with next steps. You can view more information about the purchase process here.
